Essie Wicked might be what you’re after here. It’s more oxblood than true dark red, but that’s what keeps it from going black on the nail.
I’ve noticed the reds that look slightly off in the bottle end up being the ones that actually stay red once applied.
I grabbed Essie Bordeaux on clearance at the drugstore and it’s become one of my favorites. Such a gorgeous shade for this time of year.

Holo Taco’s fall drop might be what you’re looking for. They’ve been teasing a jewel tone rainbow collection, and the red looks like it could work for what you want.

ILNP Carrie is your answer. Oxytocin goes black in most lighting, even though the red is gorgeous when it catches right. Serotonin runs brighter than what you’re describing. Coverage is solid though if you were wondering about the brand.
