Same thing happened to me with the Sally Hansen one. It’s partly hand oils and lotion causing it, since the shine always crept back in near my cuticles first.
For staying power, OPI Matte Top Coat is the best I’ve used. Five to six days on me before any sheen shows up. Essie’s Matte About You is a close second and easier to find at the drugstore, but it starts going satin around day four.
What helped was a thin layer of matte over a fully cured glossy top coat, then skipping cuticle oil for the first day (more on that here).
